Centenary Celebration – 100 years of the OB!

Hastings Commons invites you to join us on 18th July 7.30pm – 11.30pm to celebrate the finished façade of the Observer Building. In 1924, the building never had an opening party, so this is our chance to celebrate… only 100 years late! The scaffolding has been up for a long time, and we are very happy to see it come down – we would love for you to join us in celebration.

There will be refreshments and a paid bar, music from the last 100 years and a specially commissioned song to celebrate the building. At 9pm, we will invite attendees outside for a celebratory illumination of the façade of the OB.
